Recipe Description:
very easy and traditional mangalorian side dish!!!this dish is usually made on puja day or on festival
day!!.it is well served with rice and dali toy.thanks to my friend shobha for suggesting this recipe..
Ingredients:
1.Mixed vegetables-(all mentioned below or whichever available)
1 wati pumpkin pieces,
1wati ghosale pieces,
1wati tendli pieces ,
1wati magge pieces,
1wati yam(suran)pieces,
1wati phagil pieces,
1wati raw jackfruit(kadgi)pieces,
3-4 any thick green bhaji stems(denthu)
4-5 corn cobs cut in to pieces,
1wati alu panachyo ganthi(patrado pan),
1/2wati long beans pieces,
1wati potato pieces,
tender bamboo(kirlu)pieces,
2.1coconut grated,
3.5-6 bedgi red chillis(whole)
4.imli as per taste
5.2tspoons udid dal
6.little oil,(coconut oil,or sunflower oil)
7.1tspoon mustard seeds(rai)
8.kadipatta(curryleaves)
9.salt
10.1/2tspoon haldi powder
Instructions:
1.take little oil in a pan ,fry udid dal till little brown ,add whole red chilles.fry for few seconds.
2.grind grated coconut,imli,haldi,& above fried udid dal and red chillies
3.in pressure cooker add all vegetables ,add salt as per taste,add little water and cook it.switch off gas after 1 whistle.(you can cook vegetables in the vessel instead of cooker).
4.add ground coconut masala in it and boil it till it get mixed with all vegetables.
5.make tadka of oil,rai,and curryleaves.add it in above curry.
6curry should be dry .keep very little gravy .
7.serve with rice and dalitoy.
