 Prawns Humman.. (Prawns Curry).. Recipe.. 1.Grind 1cup grated coconut, 6 to 7 Whole Red  Chillies as per taste slightly roasted in oil)  Some tamarind or 2 Kokum and make a fine paste. 2.put the ground paste in a pan,add atleast  1tsp.Hing powder mixed in water. add Prawns,salt and little water and boil. 3.And finally once the humman is ready add  1tabsp.of Coconut oil,cover with lid and switch  off the gas. 4.Humman is ready to serve. Palak dal.. Recipe... Cook Toor Dal ,palak, green chillies, garlic, with  water in pressure cooker. Upavasache Thalipeeth For Breakfast...

   Upavasache Thalipeeth... With Upavasachi  Bhajni Flour. Bhajni means roasted..Thalipeeth is just like  Bhakri in Maharashtra..or Doddak in Konkani. Its very nutricious n very healthy as it has  Upavas things like Sabudana, Rajgeera n  Singhada . It is the best for breakfast or even  for lunch or dinner.. Thalipeeth tastes good  with home made Loni ( White Butter.).or Home  made Ghee. You can buy ready Bhajni flour from  shop.and  make it instantly adding some things in it. For Making Thalipeet.. Take 2 cups of flour..add salt, add 1/4th cup  crushed Shengdana (roasted peanuts). Add crushed 2 green chillies finely chopped  with 1tabsp.of Jeera. ,  add finely chopped dhania leaves, Add salt as per taste n sugar (optional) as per  taste. My Thali..Takachi Kadhi ( Buttermilk Kadhi ) , Methi Bhaji Piithla ,Cauliflower Talasani , Red Chilly Papad, Aappinmidi ( Small Tender Kairi) Pickle , ....n....Rice.

  Takachi Kadhi.. (Butter Milk Kadhi )....  recipe... Mix 2 tabsps of Besan in 2 to 3 cups of Buttermilk.. Make tadka with Ghee ,some Rai, Jeera, methi seeds , 2 lavang , currypatta, whole red  chilli, hing n Haldi.. then add paste of green chilli n small ginger piece n 3 Garlic cloves...  Then add mixture of Buttermilk n Besan.. Add some sugar n salt as per taste..boil it ...keep stirring it till boil.. or it might curdle.. Add some dhania leaves..garnish it n serve. CauliFlower Talasani..  Recipe... Chop cauliflower in to long pieces.... My Simple Thali Today...Phodnicha Bhaat , Kokum Saar , Methi Batata Rassa Bhaji , Kairi pickle without red chilli powder or oil.

 Phodnicha Bhaat.. Recipe.. Wash rice n keep it for atleast half an hour. Then cook it in water ..do not overcook.you can  even use left over steamed rice if you have. Then in a pan take some oil..add 2cloves, 4 to 5 Black pepper.Rai, Jeera, currypatta, hing, haldi,  green chilli 1 red whole chilli..when tadka  becomes ready addC hopped onion..fry till it becomes soft. Then add Cooked rice, salt ,little of sugar,  Dhania leaves. Mix it properly.. phodnicha Bhaat is ready to serve. KOKUM SAAR..  Recipe.. 1.In a vessel take 4-5cups of water.add 3-4  kokums in it. If its fresh take only 1 or 2..that is  enough. 2.Add 3-4 crushed garlic,2chopped green  chillies,some dhania leaves.add salt,and sugar  as per taste..  3.Boil it nicely .till it gets pink colour . 4.make tadka of 1tabsp.ghee with 5-6 crushed  garlics,and 2 whole red chillies.add in the  saar. 5.garnish with dhania leaves and kokum saar is  ready to serve. My Thali...Tingalorya Bendi (white Navy beans red curry), Takachi Kadhi.. (Butter Milk Kadhi ) , Mangalorian Kairi pickle... home made with roasted pickle powder , Jackfruit Papad Fry, Phulka ....n..... Rice.

 Tingalorya Bendi (white Navy beans red curry). Recipe.. soak white beans for 4hours.. cook it in pressure  cooker till soft.. grind red whole chillies,some cooked   beans,1tabsp.fresh grated coconut,little  Imli(tamarind)..make a fine paste.. then add tirfal seeds in it  ( this is optional..  you can skip it. ) & grind it 1 more time..  mix this masla with cooked beans,add salt..give a nice boil..  make tadka of oil & lots of garlic.. add it in curry.. My Fish Thali....Mangalorian Crab Curry ,Goan Pomfret Curry , Pomfret n Mandeli ( Anchovy ) Fish Fry....n.....Rice.

  Mangalorian Crab Curry.... Recipe.. 1.wash 1kg crabs..clean it and make 2 pieces.. 2.take 1sp.oil in a pan roast all whole garam  masala (6cloves,1inch cinnamon,dhania seeds- 2tabsp.,jeera-1/4tsp,saunf- 1/2tsp,black pepper- 6/7,...green elaichi-3,...optional(small piece  dagadful,javitri,1/4sp khaskhas,  Fry for 1 minute. 3..take 1tab sp.oil in a pan roast long cut 2  onions,5garlic cloves,1inch ginger piece,fry  untill light brown add 5to 6 tabsps of grated  coconut and roast it till coconut gets little brown. 4.grind above roasted garam masala,roasted  onion coconut,red chillies,little dhania  leaves,haldi together with water and make fine  paste. 5.take 3tabsp oil,add tomatoes fry for few  minutes,add crabs fry for 3to 4 minutes,add  ground above masala,salt as per taste,,add 3-4  kokums,add water and cook it .keep gravy as  you require. 6.garnish with dhania leaves. 7.curry is ready to serve with rice,chapati,or  bread. My Simple Thali Today... Alu Stems Saar.. ( Venti Menas ).. Bhajichya Alu che deth , Radish n Onion Sukke, Padwal Seeds Chutney.... (Snake Gourd Seeds Chutney )...n...Rice.

   Alu Stems Saar.. (  Venti Menas ).. Bhajichya Alu che deth. This is a Mangalorian Dish. Recipe.. its very easy, remove thin skin from alu stems.make long pieces, add water 1 or 2 kokum..crushed garlic.green chilli long cut.. Add salt.,little gud,.boil it till stems get soft. it needs only 3 to 5 minutes. then add tadka with ghee .,lots of crushed garlic,.n whole red chilli . .stems saar is b teady to serve. Radish n Onion Sukke...                           Recipe..                      This is a Mangalorean dish..  Peel the Radish. make big pieces of it. add 1  Onion big pieces,add salt & water . then cook it till soft  in a pan. then in a tadka pan fry 1\2 tabsp. of dhania  seeds, 1/2tsp of white udid dal,5 to 6methi  seeds.& 3-4 red whole chillies in few drops of oil. then grind fresh grated coconut, above fried  things,haldi,&little of chinch wtth water & make  paste.  then add it in cooked Radish...add little gud, some salt.& boil it till masala gets well mix

My Thali Today...Sprouted Green Moong Usal , Tomato Saar , Alu Paanachya Gathi chi Talasani. ( Tera Paana chya Gathi chi Bhaji ) , Vangi Phodi or Kaap.... Brinjal Shallow Fried Crispies....n....Rice

 Sprouted Green Moong Usal..      Recipe...  soak  Green Whole Moong... Soak it for 5 to 6 hours then remove water n keep it for sprouts for night  till all gets nice  sprouts. Cook  sprouted Moong  with salt n water in pressure cooker only for 1whistle..as Moong  cooks very fast make tadka with oil add rai, jera, chopped garlic, hing, haldi, Goda Masala, add finely  chopped onion , green chilli chopped.fry till onions  get soft n pinkish colour..then  add small chopped tomato,fry add chiil powder . then add cooked Moong...,add grated coconut  or grated dry coconut, add, salt.n mix it  well,again cook it till it gets well mixed.then garnish with dhania leaves.serve it. Vangi Phodi or Kaap.... Brinjal Shallow Fried Crispies... Recipe.. Make round thin pieces  of Big Brinjal as shown  in my thali pic.. Add Salt, Haldi n Red Chilli powder n Hing in it..  Mix it well. Take Rice powder n some  n Suji (Rawa) in one  plate..roll each plate in this rawa mixture till  all pieces get well coated

 Batata Soang....Red ,Spicy curry Recipe..  Boil the 4  potatoes in the cooker .. Remove skin.make pieces.  Chop 2 onions finely . Take 3 to 4 tabsps of coconut oil or any other oil  in a pan. add chopped onions.fry till light brown . Add 1/2tsp.of haldi, 2 tabsps.of kashmiri red  chilli powder,.add1 tabsp.of tamarind (imli)  juice. Add salt,as per taste...add pinch sugar if you like  (this is optional)..fry for 2 minutes.. Add potato pieces..mix it..add little water ..boil  it till potato gets mixed with masala. Potato Soang is ready to serve. Methi Batata Bhaji.. Alu Methi .. Recipe... In a pan heat oil .add some  rai, 3 crushed garlic  fry little,add hing,haldi,red chilli powder. add green chillies,then add 1finely chopped big   onions,fry for few seconds   add potato pieces.add sugar,salt and cover the  pan , cook till potatoes get cooked.add methi  leaves.cook for few minutes.use little water if  you need . My Thali... Chana Upakri Or Sundal , Palak Egg, Red Pumpkin Raita... Lal Bhoplyache Raita , Dal with Dhansak Masala....n....Rice

 Chana Upakri Or Sundal... Recipe.. Soak 2 cups Brown Chana in water over night or  for 5-6 hours.  then cook it in pressure cooker with some salt  till soft and well cooked.(cook for 2 ..3 whistles )  then remove water from it  and keep it aside. Grind 1/2 cup Fresh Grated Coconut with 3  whole Red  Chillies without water.. just pulse it  in the grinder. In a pan make tadka with 1tabsp.coconut oil (or  any other oil), add  1tsp.mustardseeds,1/2  tspn.udid Dal (this is optional ),1green chilli, 1red chilli, 5-6 currypatta, 1/4 tsp.hing.  After this tadka gets ready add pulsed coconut    mixture...stir it nicely. then add cooked Chana in it..  add 1tsp. gud ,salt as per taste... mix well add some boiled Chana water in it.. keep on flame till Chana gets well mixed with  masala.. n till it beco.es dry completely. My Thali.... Arvi Jumping...... (Taro root Dry Spicy Sabji ) , Onion_Tomato Besan Pithle , Palak-Moong Dal Bhaji , Tender Bamboo n Ambada Fresh Pickle,....n....Rice.

 Arvi Jumping...... (Taro root Dry Spicy Sabji ).... Recipe..  Steam Arvi till soft.. peel it ..make small pices of it. take little more oil in a pan.. add lots of crushed garlic..fry till slight brown.. Add Arvi pieces.. add haldi,salt & lots of red chilli powder.. and fry it till Arvi pieces get crisp n well mixed.  it is spicy  so we call it Arvi jumping!!!!   Onion_Tomato Besan Pithle  Recipe...  Make tadka of oil in a wide kadai or pan. Take add chopped garlic, rai, jeera, green chillies, haldi,hing.. n some chilli powder. Then add finelly chopped Onion. Fry for some time. finally add add chopped Tomato ,fry for few minutes...add salt, then add besan 5 to 6 big tabsps as we need..n fry it for some time... ..keep it on low flame.. stir it till besan gets well fried. Then add enough water .mix it nicely 1st it shud be watery..like thick batter. But as it gets cooking ..it will become thick.. Adjust salt if you need. Add some Jeera powder .mix it. My Thali... Drumsticks ,Brinjal n Potato Sukke , Varan ,Rawas n Prawns Curry ,Karela Koshimbir , Roasted Green Chilli Papad ....n...Rice

 Rawas n Prawns Curry.. Recipe... clean and wash prawns and Rawas fishmake  pieces of it... apply salt and haldi.n little of any Fish masala to  Prawns n Rawas.. I used Everest Fish masala...keep aside.. In a pan take some coconut oil(or any other oil),  add rai,currypatta,methi seeds,haldi, red chilli  powder ,everest Fish masala powder then add  finely chopped ginger garlic , . fry for few seconds, add 2 finely chopped Onion ..add finely chopped  tomato,green chillies chopped fry till all gets mixed together.. then add salt,some coconut milk,& water ,add  kokum...add some dhania leaves.then add  prawns and fish  in to it....add some more  currypatta while boiling..  boil it for 5minutes.. fish curry is ready to serve.. Karela Koshimbir... Recipe.. Chope finely Karela..apply some sa!t n keep for  15 minutes. Then squeez it n again wash  it water n squeez it properly to remove  bitterness of karela.. heat oil in a fry pan add chopped Karela pieces,  little salt,  and fry till its c

Steamed Pathrado or Alu Wadi...

 Steamed Pathrado or Alu Vadi. Pathrado.. Recipe.. Ingredients... Rice... 1/2 Bowl or Cup Toor dal... 1/2 bowl or cup Fresh grated Coconut... 1 cup Whole Red chillies ... 5 to 6 Imli... Smal ball Haldi... 1/2 tsp. Hing .. 1tsp. Salt ..as per taste Gud... 1tabsp.or as per taste. Method Soak  rice n toor dal,for 3 hours.. then grind it with fresh grated coconut ,  red  whole chillies as required n imli n lots of hing  powder n haldi.. Grind it in very thick paste,do not make thin or  watery. add salt n gud as required, Then use take alu leaves,... Keep 1 big Alu leaf on table top.. Apply ground  masala properly on it..n  Then keep another leaf again .apply masala  again. Keep 3to 4 leaves with repeating same  process. Make rolls like alu leaves..n steam it in steamer  for 15 minutes.. You can serve these pathrado pieces  as it is.. or  shallow fry it .( You can roll each piece n fry..this  is optional)

Bengali Fish Curry in Mustard Paste Served With Rice.

 Rohu , Katla or Bhetki Fish Curry in Mustard  Paste...Bengali Style.. You can use any other fish with bones.  I have  used Karli Fish(Silver Bar fish) in today's Bengali  fish Curry. Ingredients. 1.Rohu or any other Fish Cleaned... 7-8 Pieces. 2. Green Chillies.... 6-7 3. Mustard Seeds... 2Tabsps.,. 4. Garlic... 5-6  5. Kalounji (Onion Seeds )...1tsp. 6. Mustard oil 5-6 tabsps 7. Haldi...1/2 tsp. 8. Red Chilli Powder..1/2 tsp, 9. Salt...As Per Taste, Method.. 1.Apply salt n haldi to fish pieces.. 2.Soak 5to 6 tabsps of Yellow mustard seeds in  water for 15 to 20 minutes,.you can use Black  big mustard instead of yellow mustard seeds.  Or both mixed together. 3.Then grind  garlic cloves,  6 green chillies n  soaked n 2 tabsps of mustard seeds n haldi with  some water,..make fine paste. 4.Then slightly shallow fry this fish pieces in  mustard oil..keep aside the pieces. 5. in same oil add kalounji seeds,add finely  chopped 1 small tomato (optional ).fry till soft. 6.  Bhajni Thalipeeth... With Multi Grain flour. Bhajni means roasted..Thalipeeth is just like  Bhakri in Maharashtra..or Doddak in Konkani. Its very nutricious n very healthy as it has  multi grains . It is the best for breakfadt or even  for lunchbor dinner.. Thalipeeth tastes good  with home made Loni ( White Butter.). You can buy ready Bhajni flour from  shop.and  make it instantly adding some masalas in it. Bhajni Flour is made with... Jowar..1cup. Bajra..1/2 cup Wheat..1/2 cup Chana dal..1/4 cup Udid dal...1/4 cup Moong dal..1/4cup You can add more different grains which you like. Dhania seeds.. 4to5 tabsps. Jeera..3tabsps.. Method..  Dry roast all these grains one by one separately  on low flame till nice aroma comes out..roast it  till slightly brown colour. Then roast Dhania seeds, jeera separately. Then give it in a mill n make fine flour. You can store this flour for 1 month  For Making Thalipeet.. Take 2 cups of flour..add 1 big onion chopped,  1/2 to 1 tsp Red chilli powder,

My Thali....Double Beans Bendi (red curry), Tingalora or Navy Beans Saar Upakari , Potato Raita ( Batata Raita ) , Coconut Tambli ( with onion,ginger.... Thand Kadhi ) Cauliflower Bhajiya...n...Rice

 Double Beans Bendi ( red curry). Recipe.. soak Double Beans for  over night.. cook it in pressure cooker till soft.. grind red whole chillies,some cooked beans,1tabsp,little  imli(tamarind)..make a fine paste..then add tirfal seeds in it  ( this is optional.. you can  skip it. )& grind it 1 more time..  mix this masla with cooked beans,add salt..give a nice boil..  make tadka of oil & lots of garlic.. add it in curry.. Bendi is ready to serve. White Tinglora or Navy Beans Saar Upakari Recipe..    Soak White Tingalora Beans over night. Cook Soaked Tingalora n some salt with water in pressure cooker till soft.. Then add 1 long choppped green chilli in it.. its optional. I have not added green chilli. Boil it nicely ..keep the consistency as you like.. it shud be not dry or very watery. Adjust salt as per taste. Make Tadka with coconut oil or any oil add lots of crushed garlic n whole red chillies..  add it in the curry.. its ready to serve.. This curry is non spicy n without any

Maharashtrian Goda Masala...Home Made Brahmani Goda or Kala Masala Powder..

 Maharashtrian Goda Masala...    Its a Home made Fresh Maharashtrian  Brahmani Goda Masala powder..I use this this  Masala in my regular  dishes like Amti, Bharali  Vangi, or any vegetables , Many Vegetable   Sabjis,  Dal Rice Khichdi, or Masale Bhaat , we  can even spread this Masala with some oil on  rotis n make rolls n eat. We can make Masala  Chapati. It us used in making Cutlets.. we can  add it in aby non veg dishes with eggs, fish or  meat..  Ingredients..   Use same Big Wati or Cup for measurement . 1...Dhane ( Dry Coriander Seeds )... 4 Big Wati. 2...Regular Jeera (Cummin Seeds.)... 1/2 Wati 3....Shaha Jeera.. 6 tsps. 4...Lavang (Cloves ).... 4 tsps. 5...Dalchini (Cinnamon)... 8 to 10 pieces about 2  inch each. 6.... Methi (Fenugreek Seeds)....1 tsp. 7....Rai (Mustard Seeds)...1tsp. 8....Hing Khada..2 pieces or 3 tsps Hing powder 9...Whole Lal Mirchi... Dry Whole Red Chillies..8  to 10. 10... Haldi ( Turmeric Powder)... 1tsp. 11...Dagadful (stone flower ).. 5 to 6 12... Tej P

Khaman Dhokla...Home made instant, soft n spongy

 Khaman Dhokla ..   Recipe... Besan...1cup Rava..1tabsp. Eno..1tsp. Water..1cup or little more or  less as per need. Salt..as per taste Sugar..1 tsp..  Green chilli n ginger crushed  or paste... 1tsp. Haldi..pinch or as needed. Lemon juice..1sp.( you can    use 2 tabsps of dahi instead  of lemon juice.) Ingredients for tadka.. Oil..2tabsp. Mustard seeds..1tsp. Til..1/2tsp. Hing..1/4 tsp. Curry leaves.. 5to6 Green chillies..3 to 4 4 tabsp.of water mixed with  2 tsp.sugar  Dhania leaves..to garnish. Method.. In a bowl add Besan, Rawa, salt, sugar, haldi.. mix it nicely. Add water little by little as needed n make  thick batter ready. mix it nicely. Add green chilli n ginger paste, lemon juice. mix it. Add Eno.n mix batter nicely.  Beat it nicely n make batter smooth . Spread this batter on a greased plate. Make steamer or big kadai with hot water ready.. Then keep this plate with batter to steam. Steam it for 10 minutes keeping lid on it. Then switch off the gas. Let it cool. Then cut in

Boil washed N chopped Green Vaali bhaji with  some salt and water.  Cook 1cup Toor Dal in pressure cooker till very  soft. then mash it. add cooked bhaji in it.   Mangalore Buns... Hot, Puffed ,Yummy Buns.. Ingredients.. Riped Bananas Mashed... 2 big Curd .. 4 tabsps. Salt ...1tsp or more if you want Sugar or Gud.. I have used Sugar. ..5 tabsps. Maida ..2cups.. you might some more while  kneading. Baking  Soda ..1/2 tsp.(Half tsp.) Preparaion.. Take maida in a mixing bowl..keep it aside. Mash well riped Bananas with hands or fork Add Sugar ...You can use Jaggery instead of Sugar.. Add cooking soda..salt n  curds in Mashed  Bananas ..  Mix it nicely. Add this to the Maida make a  dough. Knead soft Dough. Keep it over night  next day .Make small thick Pooris and deep fry  in hot oil..  If you use jaggery it will be more brown after  frying.. Mangalore Buns r ready to serve.

  Whole Masoor Amti....... Recipe.. Pressure cook whole masoor with some salt &  water.. then take some oil..make tadka of rai,jeera,  chopped garlic,haldi,chilli powder ,goda masala  or garam masala,or amti masala.. then fry finely chopped onins,chopped  tomatoes,green chillies.. add cooked  masoor,adjust salt,kokum,or Imli juice..little  gud..stir it nicely.. boil it till it gets well mixed.. make thick as per taste..garnish with dhania  leaves..and serve . Cauliflower Bhaji ...Dry Sabji. Recipe...  In a pan take 3tabsps.of oil.. add chopped finely  onion ..saute for some time  then add chopped garlic n ginger about 1 tabsp..   saute.. Add Green chillies 2 , add Chopped Tomato..  saute it..  Then add Haldi ,Red chilli powder , dhane Jeera  powder as per taste...I have added  Maggie Masala Magic powder 1 small satchet..   Bharali Vangi with Prawns ((Stuffed Brinjals).. Recipe Give slit to 8-10 small purple round brinjals from top ,keep aside... mix 3-4 tabsp fresh grated coconut . 2 finely  chopped onions, 2-3 green chillies chopped  finely, lots of dhania leaves,1 tabsp goda masala  or( dhania jeera powder,little garam  masala,)1tabsp roasted ground nut powder,little  tamarind juice,jaggery,salt,1tsp red chilli  powder..stuff this masala in brinjals..  Mix this Onion stuffed masala with some  Prawns. make tadka of 2-3 garlic finely  chopped,rai,1/4tsp,hing ,haldi n pinch of red  chilli powder..add brinjals..n  remained stuffing  masala if you have. stir for few minutes,,add little water ,keep  lid.. cook it till brinjals get cooked..garnish with  Dhania  leaves..& serve.   Prawns Ghashi  Recipe.... 1. clean the Prawns.apply some salt & haldi. 2.grind coconut,dhania seeds,jeera,4to5 black  pepper,garlic,small piece of ginger ,haldi,&  kashmiri chilli powder or whole red chillies as  per taste.. .make a fine paste. 3. in a pan take oil,add 1onion finely cut,fry till it  becomes little brown,add tomato finely cut,fry  for 3 to4 minutes.add green chilles,then add  ground coconut paste,kokum,then stir for some  time. finally add Prawns .mix it & add water as  required.boil it for 3to4 minutes till Prawns get  cooked. 4.Prawns  Ghashi is read to serve.   Mashroom Soang .. Recipe... wash &clean mashrooms.make pieces. in a pan  add some coconut oil or any other oil.add  finely  chopped onions.. fry till soft &till it gets  slight  brown colour..add red chilli powder ,imli  juice,salt,& stir it..add mashroom pieces in it  &little water..stir again..boil &make till it gets  little dry..mashroom soang is ready to serve..  it can be made with boiled potatoes,or  prawns,or white radish instead of mashrooms.
