 Tavshe n Rawa Idli...


Recipe Description:


A very healthy and nutritious meal/snack for all .quick and easy to make. Tavshe means Big Goan Cucumber .. if you dont get it you can use regular kakdi..


Ingredients: 


1.wheat rawa(semolina)-1 bowl

2.dahi-2tabsps.

3.milk - 1/2 bowl or water.

4.2-3 green chillies chopped

5.grated coconut - 1/2 - bowl

6.ginger small piece

7.dhania leaves- handful

8.curry leaves -5-6

9.rai - 1/2 tsp

10.hing n 1 small red whole chilli

11.salt to taste

12.Gud.- appx 1/2 tsp or to taste

13.oil 1tbsp for tadka

14.fruit salt(plain eno)- 3/4 tsp

15.cashewnuts - small pieces(optional)

16. Tavshe ..Grated 1 cup (we can use regular Kakdi or green cucumber )

17. Carrot ..grated 2 tabsps.. this is optional..I use this to make it healthier..

Preparation:

1.make tadka of oil,rai,curry leaves,hing,red chilli, cashewnuts(optional)and add rava and roast for 2 minutes and let it cool.


3.mix grated ginger n finely chopped green chillies with rava, add grated coconut ..add dahi,milk,salt, sugar and keep aside for 10 mins.

Add grated Tavshe n grated Carrot in it..mix it nicely make thick batter for idlis. If you need more water you can add it to make required right batter thick.

4.just before steaming add eno,mix well.

5.steam in idli mould for 10-12 minutes.

6. idli is ready to serve.



Chutney Powder...

Recipe..


1. Roast 1 cup chana dal in few drops of oil till slight brown..then add hing about 1tsp.on it.just before taking it from flame.

2. Then dry roast llittle less than 1/2 cup of til..fy for few 2 minutes.

3.  fry 3 to4 whole red chillies, small piece of imli 1 drop of oil.

4. Fry 1/4 cup oc curry patta in few drops of oil.

5. Add salt, little of sugar , pinch of haldi.n make chutney ,powder.

6. I dont use any coconut as we can preserve it for longer time..

 Lacy Neer Dosa or Panpole.. Here is recipe. Ingredients... Rice...1 cup Fresh Grated Coconut.. 1/2 cup. Sugar.. 1 tsp.(optional ) Salt.. as per taste. Water...as needed. Oil..For Frying Dosa Method... 1-soak rice for 3-4 hours in water. 2-grind rice,grated coconut,salt and sugar(optional )with water in a fine paste. 3-add some water and make that paste thin to spread dosas. 4-take non stick tawa and spread thin dosas on it 5-apply some oil on tawa to take out dosas easily. Coconut Garlic chutney.. Grind fresh 1 cup fresh grated Coconut ,  4 to 5 Garlic cloves, small piece of chinch (Imli) 2 or 3 Whole Red Chillies n salt with some  water. Chutney is ready to serve.

Rice Oondi (Undi) & Lasun (Garlic) Gojju (Chutney)

Rice Oondi (Undi) & Lasun (Garlic) Gojju (Chutney). Recipe.... Ingredients.. Rice Idli Rawa...2 cup Fresh Grated Coconut... 1/2 cup.. (4to 5 tabsps) Water...4 cups. For Tadka.. Oil.. 2 tabsps. Rai..1/2 tsp. Curry patta.. 8 to 10 Whole red chilli..2 or 3 Hing..1/4 tsp. Salt...as psr taste or minimum 1tsp. Sugar..1tsp.  Method.. Wash 1 wati idli rice rawa & keep. make tadka of oil,rai,red chillies,curry  patta,& hing. then add water .. while boiling add rawa,2 to 3 tabsp.grated  coconut..salt, sugar. mix it.& make it dry  like upma.. then make round undies with hand..make a  small whole in the middle.. steam it like idlis..undies r ready to serve... Serve it with Lasun Gojju. Lasun (Garlic ) Gojju ( Chutney) Recipe... Grind Grated fresh coconut 1cup with garlic 3..chinch small 2 pieces ,  3whole red  chillies & salt as per taste with little  water. sprinkle some coconut oil on it. (This is optional)
