Bhajni Thalipeeth... With Multi Grain flour.
Bhajni means roasted..Thalipeeth is just like
Bhakri in Maharashtra..or Doddak in Konkani.
Its very nutricious n very healthy as it has
multi grains . It is the best for breakfadt or even
for lunchbor dinner.. Thalipeeth tastes good
with home made Loni ( White Butter.).
You can buy ready Bhajni flour from shop.and
make it instantly adding some masalas in it.
Bhajni Flour is made with...
Jowar..1cup.
Bajra..1/2 cup
Wheat..1/2 cup
Chana dal..1/4 cup
Udid dal...1/4 cup
Moong dal..1/4cup
You can add more different grains which you like.
Dhania seeds.. 4to5 tabsps.
Jeera..3tabsps..
Method..
Dry roast all these grains one by one separately
on low flame till nice aroma comes out..roast it
till slightly brown colour.
Then roast Dhania seeds, jeera separately.
Then give it in a mill n make fine flour.
You can store this flour for 1 month
For Making Thalipeet..
Take 2 cups of flour..add 1 big onion chopped,
1/2 to 1 tsp Red chilli powder, 1/4tsp Haldi as per taste, add salt,
Add 1tsp. Goda masala if you have..you can skip it.
Add 2 green chillies finely chopped , finely
chopped dhania leaves, 1/4 tsp.hing powder.
Mix it nicely ..add water as needed..n make soft
dough like Bhakri dough. You can spread some
white Til while patting n making thalipeeth.
Then take one ball of dough..n pat it in round
on parchment paper...make small 4 holes on it..
grease Tawa or dosa pan ..keep this patted round
thalipeeth on it..n slowly remove parchment paper.
Or you can pat it with hand directly on greased
tawa..n make thalipeeth.
Spread oil on the thalipeeth n around it on
tawa..fry it nicely from both sides..
It shud be crisp from outside..n soft from inside.
Serve it hot with home made Loni or home
made Ghee on it..
