Udid dal n Moong Dal Idili.....
Recipes....
Soak 1 cup white udid dal,& 1cup yellow moong dal together for 4-5 hours..
then grind it with water..add salt ..make thick batter like usual Idlis batter..
then keep for fermentation for 8-9 hours( I KEPT FOR WHOLE NIGHT) ..
Add 1/2 tsp.of Plain Eno in it..mix it nicely.. this is optional.
Make Idlis in in the Idli stand in the Morning..
(For Variation I add ... grind roughly green chillies, ginger without water..add it in batter jst before steaming..add 1tsp whole jeera, hing, curry patta pieces.. mix it nicely.. steam idlis as u want..no need of rice at all..)
Coconut Chutney....
In atadka pan take few drops of oil..add 2..3 green chillies add 14sp of hing in it.. mix it.. switch off the gas..
Then grind it with 1 cup of fresh grated coconut , imli, salt, n 2 tabsps of Roasted Chana dal (Phutana Dal )...
Add tadka with ghee or oil adding Rai, currypata, red whole chilli..
Chutney is ready to serve.
