My Sunday Thali Today... Prawns Goan Curry , Surmai Kalwan , Potaoto Jumping , Palak Pathrado ( Like Alu Vadi ).... n..... Rice.

Surmai Kalwan ... Recipe...


Take 5 to 6 Surmai pieces.. apply some salt ..n haldi n keep it for some time.. 

In a grinder grind in to fine paste.. grated fresh coconut 1 cup .. dhania seeds tabsp., 4 ...5 black pepper , small piece of ginger, 4..5 garlic cloves., 1 small onion, 3to 4 red chillies, haldi1/4 tsp., 1small tomato.., make fine paste.. 

Then in a kadhai.. take some oil.. add pinch of hing, 2..3 currypatta, 1green chilli, then add ground masala, add salt, kokum or some imli water , 1/2 tsp.malvani or any koli masala if you have.. boil it nicely..then add surmai pieces..add some ginger long cut thin pieces n green chill long cut.. n boil till fish gets cooked.. garnish with dhania leaves n serve.


Goan Prawns Curry.. Recipe...

Wash n clean prawns. 1to 1n half cup... remove black thread from each prawn.. then apply some salt to it.. keep aside.

Grind together 1 cup fresh grated coconut, 1tabsp.of dhania seeds, 1/4 tsp. Jeera, 4 garlic cloves, 4..5 whole red chilli, 1/2 tsp Haldi, 1/2 small onion,..make fine paste..

Then  in a kadhai take oil.. add 1/2 finely chopped onion, fry till soft.. 

then add ground masala.. 1tabsp.of imli juice, salt, green chillies, long cut ginger pieces.. boil it nicely 

then add prawns in it.. boil till prawns get cooked..

 garnish with dhania leaves n serve.


Palak Pathrado (Our Traditional Mangalorian Dish ).. 


Made Palak Vadi Instead Of Alu Vadi.

My Palak Pathrado..Recipe..

Soak 1/2 Katori rice n 1/2 katori tur dal,for 3 hours..then grind it with  1 katori fresh grated coconut..3..4 red whole chillies as required n imli n lots of hing powder n haldi..

Grind it in very thick paste,do not make thin or watery.add salt n gud as required,

Then use palak leaves instead of alu leaves,.if palak leaves r big then good,,but if it is small then we have to arrange leaf one by one on each ..spreading this masala properly..n 

Make rolls like alu leaves..n steam it in steamer for 15 minutes..

You can serve these pathrado pieces  as it is..or shallow fry it  rolling it in rice powder.

Maharashtrian Goda Masala...Home Made Brahmani Goda or Kala Masala Powder..

 Maharashtrian Goda Masala...    Its a Home made Fresh Maharashtrian  Brahmani Goda Masala powder..I use this this  Masala in my regular  dishes like Amti, Bharali  Vangi, or any vegetables , Many Vegetable   Sabjis,  Dal Rice Khichdi, or Masale Bhaat , we  can even spread this Masala with some oil on  rotis n make rolls n eat. We can make Masala  Chapati. It us used in making Cutlets.. we can  add it in aby non veg dishes with eggs, fish or  meat..  Ingredients..   Use same Big Wati or Cup for measurement . 1...Dhane ( Dry Coriander Seeds )... 4 Big Wati. 2...Regular Jeera (Cummin Seeds.)... 1/2 Wati 3....Shaha Jeera.. 6 tsps. 4...Lavang (Cloves ).... 4 tsps. 5...Dalchini (Cinnamon)... 8 to 10 pieces about 2  inch each. 6.... Methi (Fenugreek Seeds)....1 tsp. 7....Rai (Mustard Seeds)...1tsp. 8....Hing Khada..2 pieces or 3 tsps Hing powder 9...Whole Lal Mirchi... Dry Whole Red Chillies..8  to 10. 10... Bread Thalipeeth... Very Good Of Use Of Left Over Bread...

Bread Thalipeeth  Recipe... Ingredients.. Brread Slices...5 to 7 big Fine Rawa (Suji ) Green Mirchi (Chillies)..3..4 Garlic ..2 big Dhania leaves.. as needed Onion.. 1 big chopped finely Sugar... 1sp or as per taste Salt..as per taste Water.. as needed Oil.. for frying Method.. Put 5 to 6 bread slices in water..immediately press it n remove water n take it in a bowl, Then add 1cup fine rawa..add salt .little of sugar,  Add chopped finely green mirchi, dhania leaves.n little of garlic grated. ( this time I added 2tsps of green masala.i.I green chillies.,grated garlic n dhania leaves chutnney)   . Add chopped finely onion..n mix it nicely n make dough for thalipeeth.if you need some water u can sprinkle some on the dough n,make ot soft.. Take parching paper or butter paper then apply some oil n keep 1 ball of dough n press it  make round thin like  puri or chapati   Shallow fry it on a pan with applying oil from both sides,make churchuri ( crispy ) n serve it..
