My Thali Today...Malvani Crab Curry , Egg Curry For Who Don't Eat Crabs At Home , With Home Made Fresh Hot Soft Pavs (Pau ) , Onion Salad ...n.... Rice.. Today Is Friday.. Holiday Lunch .
Malvani Crab Curry.... Recipe..
Ingredients:
1.Crabs- 4/5
2.grated fresh Coconut-1cups.. and Grated Dry Khopra (Coconut )...1wati.
3.long cut onions-5/6
4.garlic cloves-10
5.ginger-3/4 inch
6.kashmiri or bedgi whole red chillis-7/8
7.haldi-1tsp
8.whole garam masala-6cloves,1inch cinnamon,dhania seeds-2tabsp.,jeera-1/4tsp,saunf- 1/2tsp,black
pepper-6/7,green elaichi-3,optional(small piece dagadful,javitri,1/4sp khaskhas,(optioonal)
9.oil -4-5tabsp.
10.dhania leaves-finely cut-1/2cup
11.salt-as per taste.
12.finely cut medium size tomatoes-3
Preparation:
1.wash crabs..clean it and make 2 pieces..
2.grind 1/4 cup dhania leaves,green chillies, 5 garlic cloves, 2inch ginger piece without water.
3.marinate crabs with salt,haldi,...keep aside.
4.take 1sp.oil in a pan roast all whole garam masala for 1 minute
5.take 1tab sp.oil in a pan roast long cut onions,5garlic cloves,ginger piece,fry untill light brown add
grated coconut and Dry grated khopra ..roast it till coconut gets little brown.
6.grind above roasted garam masala,roasted onion coconut,red chillies,little dhania leaves together with
water and make fine paste.
7.take 3tabsp oil,add tomatoes fry for few minutes, add crabs fry for 3to 4 minutes,add ground above
masala,salt as per taste,add water and cook it .keep gravy as you require.
8.garnish with dhania leavesa..crab curry is ready to serve.
Ingredients...
1. Maida (Plain Flour)... 4 cups.
2. Instant Dry Yeast... 1 & 1/2 tabsps.
3. Luke Warm Water..1 & 1/2 cup..you might need little more..it depends upon Maida .
4. Olive Oil.. 2to 3 tabsps.
5. Sugar... 1 tsp.
6. Milk.... About 1 tabsp.to brush .
7. Butter... 1 tabsp.to brush the Baked Pavs
8. Salt.. 1 tsp.
1. Add yeast in luke warm water, add 1 tsp sugar in it and let it froth for 5 mins.
2. add 1 tsp salt to the Maida .. mix it nicely..
3 Then add this activated yeast in it.
4 Start kneading dough.While kneading you might need little more luke warm water
to make it sticky dough.
5. Go on kneading. knead very well. The more you knead the better. While kneading
add olive oil. Approx 2 To 3tbsp. You will have to knead it atleast for 10 to 15 minutes.
6. Then rest the dough for 45mins to 1 hour Till the dough rises to double quantity.. Cover the dough vessel with a cloth. Or cling film.
7. Then knead it again very well. While making the balls, keep folding them first then shape into balls. The folding gives extra fluff in the pavs. Then they dont become dense...And make 12 or 16 balls of equal size.
8. Arrange on greased tray and brush each round ball with some milk..rest again for 30 mins or until the Pavs rise.
9. Preheat oven to 210°C for 10 minutes. and bake the pavs for 13 to 15 minutes.or 1 minute more as per your heat .If your Pavs dont get brown colour on top..then switch on grill n keep only for 1 to 2 minutes.
10. . Remove and brush with some butter on top of each Baked Pav.
11. cool on rack.covering with damp cloth for 15 minutes.
12. Pavs are ready to serve

Egg curry...
Recipe same as for Crab Curry.. but add Boiled Eggs instead of Crabs in the Curry.
