My Thali Today....Batata Soang , Vaali n Dal Ambat ( Mangalorian Curry with Toor Dal n Malabar Spinach or Mayalu or Basale ) , Batata Sukki Bhaji , Mirchi Bhajiya , Beetroot Raita, Phulka ....n..... Rice.

 

Batata Soang....


Recipe.. 

Boil the 4  potatoes in the cooker ..


Remove skin.make pieces. 


Chop 2 onions finely .


Take 3 to 4 tabsps of coconut oil or any other oil in a pan. add chopped onions.fry till light brown .


Add 1/2tsp.of haldi, 2 tabsps.of kashmiri red chilli powder,.add1 tabsp.of tamarind (imli) 


juice.


Add salt,as per taste...add pinch sugar if you like (this is optional)..fry for 2 minutes..


Add potato pieces..mix it..add little water ..boil 

it till potatogets mixed with masala.


Potato Soang is ready to serve.





 Vaali n Dal Ambat ( Mangalorian Curry with Toor Dal n Malabar Spinach or Mayalu or Basale )

Recipe....

Boil washed N chopped Green Vaali bhaji with some salt and water.

 Cook1cup Toor Dal in pressure cooker till very soft. then mash it.

add cooked bhaji in it.

In tadka pan fry less than 1/4 methi seeds in few drops of oil add 3-4 whole red bedgi 
chillies in it.

grind together fresh 1 cup grated coconut,small piece of imli , 1/tsp haldi,and fried methi 

& red chillies in to a fine paste. 

add this ground masala in dal and green leaves vaali mixture.

add salt as per taste. , pinch sugar(optional).boil it.

then make tadka of oil and add 1finely chopped onion.fry till brown and add in 

curry.

Ambat is ready to serve.





Batata Sukki Bhaji....

Recipe...


1.Boil  4 potatoes in pressure cooker.peel it & make pieces.


2.In a pan make tadka of oil.when heated add 1/4tsp.udid dal, 1/4 tsp rai(mustard seeds), 1/4 tsp.jeera(cummin seeds),2  chopped finely garlic 


1 whole red chilli,7 to 8 curry patta,pinch hing, 1/2tsp.haldi,after frying for few seconds ,


3,add small piece of finely chopped ginger, chopped 3  green chillies,


4,then add finely chopped 1 onion...fry till onions get soft,


5. add salt,&pinch sugar(optional),then add potato pieces in it..mix properly..


6.finally mix 1sp.besan(gram flour)in some water and add in it.. cook it till potatoes get 

well mixed with gravy..  Make dry bhaji..


7.garnish with dhania leaves..


8.and serve.




Mirchi Bhajiya....

Recipe..

give slit to thick long green mirchis..

add salt,hing,& 2tabsp dahi ..mix it and. keep aside... 

make batter of besan,some rice powder,hing,salt,haldi,chillipowder,black pepper 

powder,dhania leaves...

dip mirchis in it and, deep fry it till bhajiyas will be crispy..





Beetroot Raita.. 

Recipe..

Cook Beetroot big pieces with some  salt n little 

water. in the pressure cooker.then peel it.make 

small pieces..then add finely chopped 

onions.add  curd.add salt if you need.mix it 

nicely.then make tadka with ghee adding 

mustard seeds, currypatta, red whole chilli 

piece, choppped green chilli, n pinch of hing.add

 it in the Raita.

Grind Grated fresh coconut 1cup with garlic 3..chinch small 2 pieces ,  3whole red  chillies & salt as per taste with little  water. sprinkle some coconut oil on it. (This is optional)

My Thali...Grated Suran Andhra Bhaji.. Yam Sabji , French Beans Kismur , Vilayati Dal , (Simple Dal Varan with Kanda, lasun ) , Gongura Chutney.. Tangy n Spicy Andhra Chutney....n...Rice.

  French Beans Kismur Recipe.. Ingredients: 1.parasbi(french beans)- 250gms,finely chopped. 2.onion -2 small, finely chopped. 3.grated coconut - 3/4-1 wati 4.green chillies-2 long slits. 5.lemon juice -1 tsp or to taste 6.salt to taste 7.dhania leaves- finely chopped for garnishing 8.oil - to fry (appx 2-3 tb sp) Instructions: 1.heat oil in a fry pan add chopped parasbi, little  salt, green chilly and fry till its crispy and light  brown. 2.In a serving bowl, add onion,grated coconut,  little salt, fried parasbi, dhania leaves and  lemon juice and mix well. 3.garnish with dhania leaves and serve. ( Wheat Rava )... 1 cup Grated fresh Coconut...3/4 cup. Green Chilies... 3to 4 as per taste ..chopped finely. Grated Ginger... 1tsp.. or 1  inch Ginger piece. Salt..as per taste.. Sugar ..1 tsp.or Gud... Small piece as per taste. Oil.. to fry Thalipeeth or Doddak. Water..to mix dough. Method...
