My Sunday Thali.....Kerala Fish Curry with Matti Fish ( small Saradines or Tarle ) n Some prawns ,Kelphulachi Bhaji , Coconut Tambli (Thand Coconut Kadhi ) , Prawns n Belonji Rawa Fry ....n... Rice...


Kerala Fish Curry with Matti Fish ( small Saradines or Tarle ) n Some prawns

Recipe...

clean and wash prawns and fish..apply salt and haldi...keep aside.

In a pan take some coconut oil(or any other oil), add rai,currypatta,methi seeds,haldi, red 

chilli powder ,dhania powder then add grated ginger garlic paste, .fry for few seconds,

add  chopped shallots(small onions))..

add finely chopped tomato,green chillies chopped,fry till all gets mixed together..

then add salt,some coconut milk,& water ,add kokum(i added malabari kodampuli ),

add some dhania leaves.then add prawns and fish  in to it....add some more currypatta 

while boiling.. boil it for 5minutes..fish curry is ready to serve.





Kelphulachi Bhaji or Talasani .. ( Banana Flower Sabji )..

1st we have to clean n take flowers of kelphul from inside of pink cover of kelphul.

Remove 1st outer cover  of Banana flower (which is pink or red colour skins), 

separate the inner  white yellow long flowers.. then you will see one thick stem in every flower that you have to remove n throw.

Wash the white flowers  and chop the flowers . Go on repeating this step till you get very soft 

yellow covering which is chopable.n now you cannt open it to get flowers from it..chop finely this Part too.

Keep it in some buttermilk mixed with water n salt .

Keep soaked in it overnight in the fridge.

Method 

Heat oil in pan add crushed peeled Garlic, Whole red chilli, haldi,Saute for 2-3 minutes.

Now add drained chopped  kelful, salt and mix well. Add 1/2 cup water.,some gud as per taste, 

little of red chilli powder.

Let it cook for 10 minutes On a low flame, sitr fry it till all water evaporates  till it turn slightly 

crunchy..




Tambli ( with onion,ginger)...

we make different varietis of tambli..either with garlic,or with onion-ginger..or palak 

Tambli..all have different taste & recipes..

Today I made onion tambli means just ,made fine paste with fresh coconut,some red 

whole chillies,&small piece of tamarind..

 After making fine paste lastly I added 1onion pieces,& small ginger,1tabsp 

dahi.,salt.&again ground it jst for few seconds..

we can add water as required..no need of heating it..

it tastes very yummy with hot steamed Rice





Prawns n Belonji Rawa Fry Fish 

Recipe...

I have applied haldi..salt..red chilli powder..

Apply dhania leaves..green chilli &garlic paste(without water).

Then rolled in to the mixture of rawa n rice powder then shallow fried..

Make it crispy n serve it..

Grind Grated fresh coconut 1cup with garlic 3..chinch small 2 pieces ,  3whole red  chillies & salt as per taste with little  water. sprinkle some coconut oil on it. (This is optional)

My Thali...Grated Suran Andhra Bhaji.. Yam Sabji , French Beans Kismur , Vilayati Dal , (Simple Dal Varan with Kanda, lasun ) , Gongura Chutney.. Tangy n Spicy Andhra Chutney....n...Rice.

  French Beans Kismur Recipe.. Ingredients: 1.parasbi(french beans)- 250gms,finely chopped. 2.onion -2 small, finely chopped. 3.grated coconut - 3/4-1 wati 4.green chillies-2 long slits. 5.lemon juice -1 tsp or to taste 6.salt to taste 7.dhania leaves- finely chopped for garnishing 8.oil - to fry (appx 2-3 tb sp) Instructions: 1.heat oil in a fry pan add chopped parasbi, little  salt, green chilly and fry till its crispy and light  brown. 2.In a serving bowl, add onion,grated coconut,  little salt, fried parasbi, dhania leaves and  lemon juice and mix well. 3.garnish with dhania leaves and serve.
