My Thali.... Rohu , Katla or Bhetki Fish Curry in Mustard Paste...Bengali Style , Cabbage Bhaji , Karela with Onion Stir Fry.. (Bitter Gourd Stir Fry )., Fresh Bombil (Bombay Duck Fish ) Fry....n.....Rice.
Cabbage Bhaji....
Recipe...
Chop Cabbage in thin long pieces..you can grate it .
Make Tadka in a pan with oil , add Rai ,Jeera ,Currypatta ,green chillies ,little of Udid dal
( optional ) , Hing n haldi..
Then add Cabbage in it.. Mix it..
Add little of Dhane n Jeera powder ..add some Dhania leaves , add salt.. n cover it .
Cook it for 4to 5 minutes on low flame.. garnish it with fresh grated coconut n dhania
leaves n serve.
Karela with Onion Stir Fry.. (Bitter Gourd Stir Fry )..
Recipe..
Make thin Round pieces of Karela.. n Make thin long pieces of Onion.
Add some Salt to chopped Karela..n keep for 15 minutes.. then squeeze it n wash it nicely
then again squeez it to removes its Bitterness. But this step is optional.. you can skip this
step n use pieces just after chopping .
Then in a pan take little more oil as it is stir fry..
Add Onion pieces n squeezed karela pieces in it.. stir it..then add some salt .
Add chopped finely 3 to cloves of garlic.. n finely chopped 3 green chillies.
keep the lid n cook for 3 to 4 minutes.
Keep stirring.. then add little of red chilli powder n Haldi.
Stir fry till it gets light brown colour n get slight crispiness..
Karela stir fry is ready to serve.

My Thali....Recipe...
Ingredients.
1.Rohu Fish Cleaned... 7-8 Pieces.
2. Green Chillies.... 6-7
3. Mustard Seeds... 2Tabsps.,.
4. Garlic... 5-6
5. Kalounji (Onion Seeds )...1tsp.
6. Mustard oil 5-6 tabsps
7. Haldi...1/2 tsp.
8. Red Chilli Powder..1/2 tsp,
9. Salt...As Per Taste,
Method..
1.Apply salt n haldi to fish pieces..
2.Soak 5to 6 tabsps of Yellow mustard seeds in water for 15 to 20 minutes,.you can used Black
big mustard instead of yellow mustard seeds.
3.Then grind garic paste, green chilli n soaked mustard seeds n haldi with some water,..make fine paste.
4.Then slightly shallow fry this fish pieces in mustard oil..remove the pieces
5. in same oil add kalounji seeds,add finely chopped 1 small tomato (optional ).fry till soft.
6. Add ground masala .I added little red chilli powder ..
7.add some salt an then add fish pieces.
8.Make gravy thin or thick as you like,
10.Garnish with dhania leaves n serve with steamed rice.....
Fresh Bombil (Bombay Duck Fish ) Fry..
Make 2 pieces of Bombil.. wash it ..
Apply salt, Haldi, Red chilli powder n some green ground masala with dhania leaves n Garlic..
Keep it for some time.
Roll it in the mixture of Besan n Rice powder.
Deep fry it till it becomes nice crispy..
Crispy Bombil Fry is ready to serve.
