My Thali Today... Batata Bhaji with Poori , Moong dal n Rice Khichdi , Vaali n Magge ( Yellow cucumber ) Bendi... ( Malabar Spinach or Mayalu Bhaji Bendi , Kairi Chutney.

Very delicious potato bhaji.. it is usually served with hot pooris..I have given slight change to this bhaji..so try it.. I am sure you all will love it...
Ingredients:
1.potatoes-4-5
2.oil-2 tabsp.
3.udid dal-1/4 tsp.
4. rai (mustard seeds)- 1/2 tsp.
5 jeera (cummin seeds)-1/4tsp
6.garlics chopped-2
7.whole red chilli-1
8.curry patta 5-6
9.pinch hing,
10.haldi-1/4 tsp
11/ginger-small piece.
12.green chillies=2
13.onions-2
14.sugar-little((optional).
15.salt-as per taste.
16.besan (gram flour)-2tabsp.
17.dhania leaves-chopped finely-1tabsp.
18.water-some as needed for gravy.
Preparaion:
1.Boil potatoes in pressure cooker.peel it & make pieces.
2.In a pan make tadka of oil.when heated add udid dal, rai(mustard seeds), jeera(cummin seeds),garlic
chopped,whole red chilli,curry patta,pinch hing, haldi,after frying for few seconds ,
3,add small piece of finely chopped ginger,finely chopped green chillies,
4,then add finely chopped onions.fry till onions get soft,
5. add salt,&pinch sugar(optional),then add potato pieces in it..mix properly..
6.finally mix besan(gram flour)in some water and add in it.. cook it till potatoes get well mixed with gravy..
7.garnish with dhania leaves..
8.and serve with hot Pooris.
Moong dal n Rice Khichdi....
Recipe..
Wash 1 cup Rice n 3/4 cup Yellow Moong Dal.. mix it..
In pressure cooker make tadka with ghee add 1 tsp.jeera.. add Rice n Moong Dal.. saute it
then add haldi , Goda masala 1/2 tsp.. salt, pinch sugar (optional), mix it.add some more
ghee in it..
Then add 4 to 5 glasses of water.. n cook it for 3vto 4 whistles..
And serve it .

Recipe...
Cook Chopped Green Vaali n Magge pieces till soft with some salt....
Grind red whole chillies 3..4, fresh grated
coconut..2tabsps.,little imli(tamarind)..
make a fine paste..then add tirfal seeds in it and
grind it 1 more time(if it is available..
or it can be made without this.).. mix this masala
with cooked Veggies ,add salt..give a nice boil..
make tadka of oil & lots of garlic..
add it in curry..
Bendi is ready to serve
Kairi Chutney...
Grind together fresh grated coconut, kairi pieces ,Green chillies n salt ,sugar n lots of
garlic with little of water.. chutney is ready to serve.
