Recipe..
Ingredients..
1. Custard Powder or Corn Flour . (Here I have taken Custard powder )... 1cup.
2. Sugar...2 and 1/2 cups.
3. Water...4 cups.
4.. Home Made Ghee...4to 5 tabsps.you can use any ghee available at home.
5..Elaichi Powder.. 1/2 tsp or as per taste.
6.. chopped nuts like Badam or Pista .
Method..
Take custard powder or Corn Flour in a big bowl..
mix it in 4 cups of water.
add 2 and 1/2 cup of sugar in it.mix well so that
there will be no lumps.
heat a non stick pan .
add mixture in it..keep stirring well continously.
when mixture starts boiling..reduce the flame..&
keep stirring.
then add 4 to 5 tsp of home made ghee or any
ghee in it.keep stiring ..
mixture wil start becoming transculant..& will
start forming like jelly...
then add cardamom powder in it. N chopped
pista.or any nuts which you like.you can use
mixed nuts as well.
you will have to stir atleast 10 to 12 minutes on
very low flame.
when it will form in jelly form completely then
spread this mixture in greased round plate..
then garnish with chopped pista or any nuts.
I have garnished with some saffron strands.
allow to cool .then cut it in square pieces. You
can keep it in fridge if you want.Halwa is ready
to eat..enjoy..
