Khotto or Steamed Idlis in Jackfruit Leaves
Recipe..
Wash n Soak 1 cup of Udis dal .. with 8 to 10 methi seeds for overnight or 4to 5 hours..
wash n soak 2 cups of Idli Rice separately for same time above..then grind it separately..
Grind Udid dal adding little water at a time .. make it fluffy..
Grind Rice in to a paste ..you can grind it n keep batter as fine rawa.. mix it both
batters....
In my recipe I wash grinder n add water in this batter n add atleast 1/2 cup to 1 cup Idli
Rawa in it.. n make idli batter ready.. keep it for overnight or 10 to 12 hours to
ferment..add salt before making khotto..
Wash n clean the jackfruit leaves..then dry it.. n make masket or cup by keeking together
by pinning with tooth pic pieces...you can see in my pic.
Then fill these cups with idli batter from above ..n steam it in steamer or pressure cooker
like Idlis for 12 to 15 minutes....serve with Sambhar or Chutney ..
Coconut Red Chutney ...
Recipe..
fry 1tabsp.of udid dal, 3 red whole chillies.n 1/4 sp.of hing in little oil.
Then ground Fresh Grated Coconut, Imli, salt,n this Fried things.
then add tadka with Oil, Rai n Curry Patta.
Serve this Yummy Chutney with Hot Steamed Khotto...
