My Thali... Bangda Fish Amshe Tikhshe , Kadgi (Raw Jack fruit ) n Black eyed Beans Koddel ( Mangalore Curry ) ,Bhendi Kurkuri , Katache Saar, Mooli Raita...n...Rice


 


Bangda Fish Amshe Tikhshe...

Recipe..

1.Clean 1/2kg Bangda fish & make 2-3 pieces of each.add salt,haldi and keep aside 

2.Roast 8to 10 red Bedgi chillies in few drops of oil for 1/2 minute.

3.Grind 2 tabsp grated coconut,6 to 8 whole red chillies,..I have used Kashmiri n Bedgi chillies mixed.1.4tsp haldi,2-3 garlic cloves,small ball of tamarind.make fine smooth paste with water.

4.Grind 5-6 tirfal with little water and strain it ..or just add tirfals in final round  of grinding masala,just grind it for 2 to 3 seconds. ( You can skip these Tirfals.without it also curry tastes yummy.)

5.Boil ground masala,tirfal water, by adding some more water.

6. Add Some 3 to 4 Kokum  in it while boiling..

7.Add fish pieces and boil it till fish is cooked.

8.Sprinkle 1tabsp.coconut oil on the curry,cover with lid.curry is ready..serve with rice


Kadgi (Raw Jack fruit ) n Black eyed Beans 

Koddel ( Mangalore Curry ),


Recipe..


Cook 2 hours soaked Black eyed Beans in pressure cooker till soft.. Cook Jackfruit pieces with little salt In separate vessel in cooker.


Grind red whole chillies ...fresh grated coconut,..little imli (tamarind)..make a fine paste..

You can add some Tirphals if you like.. but its optional.. if you dont like it ..you can make without it.

Mix all cooked Vegetables together..

Mix this ground masala with cooked veggies ,add salt..give a nice boil..

 Make tadka of oil  (Coconut Oil tastes good but its optional ) & lots of  crushed garlic..

 Add it in curry..

Koddel  is ready to serve.




  Bhendi Kurkuri..


Recipe..


Make slit in the middle of Bhendi,,and make it half....Make thin stripes 

Apply some salt,haldi,red chilli powder, hing, black pepper powder.

 Mix it properly.

Then add Rice powder,some Besan n 1 Tabsp.of Fine Rawa to coat it....mix it nicely.

Deep fry it in oil till crispy on low flame.




Katache Saar.

Recipe...

kat means Boiled Chana Dal For  Making Puran For Puran Poli..

Then strained it n this water used to make Saar ..

mix this water with little of Puran , green chilles n crushed garlic , salt n kokum 

Then keep it for boiling.

Add salt in this..if you wanter little more sweet then add gud as per taste. (Optional ).

Then  add ghee tadka of garlic n red chillies .

But Today For Holi...I havent used Garlic..instead of garlic tadka I have used rai, hing ,

curry patta n red chilli.




Mooli Raita... Recipe..

Peel Raddish.. Grate it.. add Little of finely chopped Onion .some Dhania Leaves.

Then add salt, pinch of sugar (optional ). Mix it.. Then add whisked Dahi in it.. Mix it.. 

Make tadka with Ghee add Rai, Chopped Green chilli , whole Red Chilli, Currypatta, pour 

it in Raita.. Garnish with some more Dhania Leaves n serve it.

My Thali...Grated Suran Andhra Bhaji.. Yam Sabji , French Beans Kismur , Vilayati Dal , (Simple Dal Varan with Kanda, lasun ) , Gongura Chutney.. Tangy n Spicy Andhra Chutney....n...Rice.

  French Beans Kismur Recipe.. Ingredients: 1.parasbi(french beans)- 250gms,finely chopped. 2.onion -2 small, finely chopped. 3.grated coconut - 3/4-1 wati 4.green chillies-2 long slits. 5.lemon juice -1 tsp or to taste 6.salt to taste 7.dhania leaves- finely chopped for garnishing 8.oil - to fry (appx 2-3 tb sp) Instructions: 1.heat oil in a fry pan add chopped parasbi, little  salt, green chilly and fry till its crispy and light  brown. 2.In a serving bowl, add onion,grated coconut,  little salt, fried parasbi, dhania leaves and  lemon juice and mix well. 3.garnish with dhania leaves and serve. Grated Suran Andhra Bhaji.. Yam Sabji Recipe.. Remove skin of Suran.. you can take Suran piece  as much as your need. Grate it thicker  not fine.  Rava-Kakdi Or Taushe Doddak Or Thalipeeth Or Bhakri... ( Cucumber Doddak ).. I have used our plain regular Green Cucumber. Ingredients... Grated Cucumber (Kakdi).. 1cup..to 1/2 cup. Rava or Suji... ( Wheat Rava )... 1 cup Grated fresh Coconut...3/4 cup. Green Chilies... 3to 4 as per taste ..chopped finely. Grated Ginger... 1tsp.. or 1  inch Ginger piece. Salt..as per taste.. Sugar ..1 tsp.or Gud... Small piece as per taste. Oil.. to fry Thalipeeth or Doddak. Water..to mix dough. Method... Mix together Rava.. gratedCucumber..  grated fresh Coconut,  Finely Chopped Green  chillies, Grated Ginger, Salt, Sugar or Jaggery (Optional ), n Water as needed.. make a soft dough..
