My Simple Thali Today...Phodnicha Bhaat , Kokum Saar , Methi Batata Rassa Bhaji , Kairi pickle without red chilli powder or oil.

 Phodnicha Bhaat.. Recipe.. Wash rice n keep it for atleast half an hour. Then cook it in water ..do not overcook.you can  even use left over steamed rice if you have. Then in a pan take some oil..add 2cloves, 4 to 5 Black pepper.Rai, Jeera, currypatta, hing, haldi,  green chilli 1 red whole chilli..when tadka  becomes ready addC hopped onion..fry till it becomes soft. Then add Cooked rice, salt ,little of sugar,  Dhania leaves. Mix it properly.. phodnicha Bhaat is ready to serve. KOKUM SAAR..  Recipe.. 1.In a vessel take 4-5cups of water.add 3-4  kokums in it. If its fresh take only 1 or 2..that is  enough. 2.Add 3-4 crushed garlic,2chopped green  chillies,some dhania leaves.add salt,and sugar  as per taste..  3.Boil it nicely .till it gets pink colour . 4.make tadka of 1tabsp.ghee with 5-6 crushed  garlics,and 2 whole red chillies.add in the  saar. 5.garnish with dhania leaves and kokum saar is  ready to serve. My Thali...Tingalorya Bendi (white Navy beans red curry), Takachi Kadhi.. (Butter Milk Kadhi ) , Mangalorian Kairi pickle... home made with roasted pickle powder , Jackfruit Papad Fry, Phulka ....n..... Rice.

 Tingalorya Bendi (white Navy beans red curry). Recipe.. soak white beans for 4hours.. cook it in pressure  cooker till soft.. grind red whole chillies,some cooked   beans,1tabsp.fresh grated coconut,little  Imli(tamarind)..make a fine paste.. then add tirfal seeds in it  ( this is optional..  you can skip it. ) & grind it 1 more time..  mix this masla with cooked beans,add salt..give a nice boil..  make tadka of oil & lots of garlic.. add it in curry.. Bendi is ready to serve. Takachi Kadhi.. (Butter Milk Kadhi )....  recipe... Mix 2 tabsps of Besan in 2 to 3 cups of  Buttermilk.. Make tadka with Ghee ,some Rai, Jeera, methi  seeds , 2 lavang , currypatta, whole red  chilli, hing n Haldi..  then add paste of green chilli n small ginger  piece..  Then add mixture of Buttermilk n Besan..  Add some sugar n salt as per taste..boil it ... keep stirring it till boil.. or it might curdle.. My Fish Thali....Mangalorian Crab Curry ,Goan Pomfret Curry , Pomfret n Mandeli ( Anchovy ) Fish Fry....n.....Rice.

  Mangalorian Crab Curry.... Recipe.. 1.wash 1kg crabs..clean it and make 2 pieces.. 2.take 1sp.oil in a pan roast all whole garam  masala (6cloves,1inch cinnamon,dhania seeds- 2tabsp.,jeera-1/4tsp,saunf- 1/2tsp,black pepper- 6/7,...green elaichi-3,...optional(small piece  dagadful,javitri,1/4sp khaskhas,  Fry for 1 minute. 3..take 1tab sp.oil in a pan roast long cut 2  onions,5garlic cloves,1inch ginger piece,fry  untill light brown add 5to 6 tabsps of grated  coconut and roast it till coconut gets little brown. 4.grind above roasted garam masala,roasted  onion coconut,red chillies,little dhania  leaves,haldi together with water and make fine  paste. 5.take 3tabsp oil,add tomatoes fry for few  minutes,add crabs fry for 3to 4 minutes,add  ground above masala,salt as per taste,,add 3-4  kokums,add water and cook it .keep gravy as  you require. 6.garnish with dhania leaves. 7.curry is ready to serve with rice,chapati,or  bread. My Simple Thali Today... Alu Stems Saar.. ( Venti Menas ).. Bhajichya Alu che deth , Radish n Onion Sukke, Padwal Seeds Chutney.... (Snake Gourd Seeds Chutney )...n...Rice.

   Alu Stems Saar.. (  Venti Menas ).. Bhajichya Alu che deth. This is a Mangalorian Dish. Recipe.. its very easy, remove thin skin from alu stems.make long pieces, add water 1 or 2 kokum..crushed garlic.green chilli long cut.. Add salt.,little gud,.boil it till stems get soft. it needs only 3 to 5 minutes. then add tadka with ghee .,lots of crushed garlic,.n whole red chilli . .stems saar is b teady to serve. Radish n Onion Sukke...                           Recipe..                      This is a Mangalorean dish..  Peel the Radish. make big pieces of it. add 1  Onion big pieces,add salt & water . then cook it till soft  in a pan. then in a tadka pan fry 1\2 tabsp. of dhania  seeds, 1/2tsp of white udid dal,5 to 6methi  seeds.& 3-4 red whole chillies in few drops of oil. then grind fresh grated coconut, above fried  things,haldi,&little of chinch wtth water & make  paste.  then add it in cooked Radish...add little gud, some salt.& boil it till masala gets well mix

My Thali Today...Sprouted Green Moong Usal , Tomato Saar , Alu Paanachya Gathi chi Talasani. ( Tera Paana chya Gathi chi Bhaji ) , Vangi Phodi or Kaap.... Brinjal Shallow Fried Crispies....n....Rice

 Sprouted Green Moong Usal..      Recipe...  soak  Green Whole Moong... Soak it for 5 to 6 hours then remove water n keep it for sprouts for night  till all gets nice  sprouts. Cook  sprouted Moong  with salt n water in pressure cooker only for 1whistle..as Moong  cooks very fast make tadka with oil add rai, jera, chopped garlic, hing, haldi, Goda Masala, add finely  chopped onion , green chilli chopped.fry till onions  get soft n pinkish colour..then  add small chopped tomato,fry add chiil powder . then add cooked Moong...,add grated coconut  or grated dry coconut, add, salt.n mix it  well,again cook it till it gets well mixed.then garnish with dhania leaves.serve it. Vangi Phodi or Kaap.... Brinjal Shallow Fried Crispies... Recipe.. Make round thin pieces  of Big Brinjal as shown  in my thali pic.. Add Salt, Haldi n Red Chilli powder n Hing in it..  Mix it well. Take Rice powder n some  n Suji (Rawa) in one  plate..roll each plate in this rawa mixture till  all pieces get well coated

 Batata Soang....Red ,Spicy curry Recipe..  Boil the 4  potatoes in the cooker .. Remove skin.make pieces.  Chop 2 onions finely . Take 3 to 4 tabsps of coconut oil or any other oil  in a pan. add chopped onions.fry till light brown . Add 1/2tsp.of haldi, 2 tabsps.of kashmiri red  chilli powder,.add1 tabsp.of tamarind (imli)  juice. Add salt,as per taste...add pinch sugar if you like  (this is optional)..fry for 2 minutes.. Add potato pieces..mix it..add little water ..boil  it till potato gets mixed with masala. Potato Soang is ready to serve. Methi Batata Bhaji.. Alu Methi .. Recipe... In a pan heat oil .add some  rai, 3 crushed garlic  fry little,add hing,haldi,red chilli powder. add green chillies,then add 1finely chopped big   onions,fry for few seconds   add potato pieces.add sugar,salt and cover the  pan , cook till potatoes get cooked.add methi  leaves.cook for few minutes.use little water if  you need . My Thali... Chana Upakri Or Sundal , Palak Egg, Red Pumpkin Raita... Lal Bhoplyache Raita , Dal with Dhansak Masala....n....Rice

 Chana Upakri Or Sundal... Recipe.. Soak 2 cups Brown Chana in water over night or  for 5-6 hours.  then cook it in pressure cooker with some salt  till soft and well cooked.(cook for 2 ..3 whistles )  then remove water from it  and keep it aside. Grind 1/2 cup Fresh Grated Coconut with 3  whole Red  Chillies without water.. just pulse it  in the grinder. In a pan make tadka with 1tabsp.coconut oil (or  any other oil), add  1tsp.mustardseeds,1/2  tspn.udid Dal (this is optional ),1green chilli, 1red chilli, 5-6 currypatta, 1/4 tsp.hing.  After this tadka gets ready add pulsed coconut    mixture...stir it nicely. then add cooked Chana in it..  add 1tsp. gud ,salt as per taste... mix well add some boiled Chana water in it.. keep on flame till Chana gets well mixed with  masala.. n till it beco.es dry completely.
